This 2 hour workshop will cover the basics in the Music Industry as a Business and Brand: the tools to get your music out there, basic PR and how to conduct yourself in an interview scenario: the second hour will deal with a practical exercise simulating interviews and interview scenarios. 
The workshop includes discussions on: 

How to treat your music as a business;
The different role players in the industry;
Contracts;
Online Brand Reputation Management;
Social Media; 
Publicity & interviews;
Ethics;
And more.

Space is limited.
Note books and pens will be supplied.

About Bronwen:

Bronwen has been involved in the entertainment industry from a young age, and has worn many hats. She performed as a dancer, actress and singer in various Musical Theatre roles, as a member of the RAU/UJ Song and Dance Company.

She has an ATCL, LTCL Diploma in musical theatre with Trinity College.

She is also a qualified attorney, but is not practicing,

She has worked in Media; radio and online, over a period of 5 and a half years, where she has produced and presented for radio (including various community stations and 702).

She owns her own Brand and Website called B Sharp Entertainment – which profiles theatre, music, art, dance, comedy, etc.

She has interviewed over 200 musicians, artists, actors, entertainers both for radio and for the website.

She managed the band – B-TRAQ.

She is a freelancer in Media and Publicity, and has a music show on MIX 93.8 FM on the ROCKFEST; every Wednesday night/Thursday Morning – midnight to 2am.

She also has an internationally recognized Diploma in Digital Marketing & Social Media Marketing.

Bronwen receives countless requests from musicians, daily, to assist in this crazy but wonderful industry of Music and Entertainment.

“There is a great need for mentorship in this industry and I have been playing around with doing workshops for entertainers, specifically musicians, for a very long time. I feel that now is the time to share my knowledge and I hope people will benefit from these workshops. Hopefully there will be a positive response, so that this can be the first of many”, states Bronwen.
