STORYTELLERS SPECIAL : War Stories from the East
Jemma Kahn and Lebogang Mogashoa talk storytelling, Kamishibai and general war stories from their time in the East in this Storytellers Special.
Closing off our run of "We Didn't Come to Hell for the Croissants", we invite Lebogang Mogashoa (1/6th of the Writing team) and Jemma Kahn (1/2 of the performers) to the stage to share their experiences and insights on Storytelling mediums, as well as their general war stories.
Lebogang Mogahsoa spent 6 years in Korea where, in addition to many harrowing experiences, he developed his own cult following for his Storytelling show, "When We Were Nearly Young". Jemma Kahn also had her own strange experiences of the East living in Japan after Graduating. This is where she found and studied the art of Kamishibai, which she has practised in her two hit shows: "The Epicene Butcher" and "We Didn't Come to Hell for the Croissants".
In this storytelling show, the two share their honest experiences and stories about Sex, Drunks and Karaoke and finding themselves away from home.
