Artists with No Title
Following a hugely successful opening performance at The Centre for the Less Good Idea, this production comes to POPArtby popular demand this October.
This piece interrogates the idea of legacy. With performances by Teresa Phuti Mojela, Gregory K Mabusela, Julia Burnham, Khutjo Green, Simphiwe Bonongo and Phindo Ngxanga, these artists with no title help question what we choose to leave behind.
The performance is a playful composition of dance, theatre, music and storytelling of the motivations behind our art making. Offering an honest, yet culturally stimulating performance, the piece questions what ordinary and extraordinary people may be remembered for.
The collaborating artists celebrate the legacies that appear great, insignificant and everything in between. They are interested in people who live their legacies every day: rebuilding it, regarding and disregarding fears in search of self. For them, being artists with no title requires only lives fully lived.
Tickets are R 120 online. R 140 at the door.
Booking is advised.

Great energy and well crafted, I really enjoyed it, a million thanks, Debbie Kermode, Director, Midlands Arts Centre, UK
Thought in laughter... This show is a must watch. No lies... It will have you in stitches whilst making you think about the worth of those who entertain us. I believe it paints a picture for those who need to understand what Florence Masebe is standing for when she fights for the rights of performers. Artists with no title... Is artist not a title?. I loved it!
