"Telling Stories"

This play tells stories as seen through the eye of a man/woman in the street- who acknowledges the 'good, the bad, and ugly' of the pre and post apartheid South Africa. It is the the lamentation about the 'miscourage' of the 'better life for all' call of the now government amid wide scale corruption and maladministration.

The play challenges the audience to interrogate the dream we are sold of a free, just, and better society for all.

A terrific performance - 2 talented guys taking on the roles of multiple characters with the bare minimum of props. They were energised throughout and had lovely voices to boot. The many political milestones enacted took me to back to many violent times, but that allowed me to formulate fresh impressions more related to the reality of what the majority of our people experienced in the apartheid era. One can never underestimate the long term impact of living in and through tough times. Overall thought provoking and entertaining. In one hour delivered what our Northfield Diversity Team will take many hours to digest and discuss. Well done!

Very well performed but choices of stories were IMO a bit arbitrary. I could not see the thread the held it together . Beautifully performed - held my attention throughout
