In this multiple award winning production, the art of kamishibai is mis-used by the creators to tell stories of lust, beauty, honour and violence; The culmination of which is something not unlike an ex-patriots experience of Japan.

Expect beautiful pictures, and horrible ideas.

The performance was excellent, but I think the script could have done with some more work.

Loved it - the whole way through. Gemma was mesmerising and the Kimibaishi (?) medium was unique and beautiful. I'll be passing this message on far and wide. Thank you!

It was a truly magnificent show. It was clever, witty, lascivious and interesting. The acting was engaging, honest, sincere and relatable. A fascinating journey that was both enticing and informative. A masterpiece.

Such a great deviation from regular story telling. Hilarious, profound and awkwardly beautiful. Jemma is a force, and chalkgirl is mu new best friend (in my head of course...). Thank you all involved!

I believe great and true storytelling is the path to understanding each other. The Epicene Butcher was great and true; exquisitely crafted and perfectly performed. And fucking funny.

Glorious and outrageous and trashy from start to finish. Over too soon.

What an incredible piece if storytelling, taking us on several journeys and then bringing it right back home in the end. Well done to all involved - no wonder there are sold out signs everywhere...
