In Whorefish Bloomers : The Waitresses' Lament
The ‘Virgin’ and the ‘Whore’. Two waitresses prepare themselves for another nauseating night on the battlefields of Horrifying Hospitalica! Armed with toothpick, their razor-sharp wit, and ripe, suck-able tits, they don their aprons, hoist their fishnets and limber up to perform In Whorefish Bloomers!
An adaptation of Pam-Grant and Stannard’s underground 1980s feminist ‘cabaret’. Two young actresses take on Lori and Beth in this collection of pro-femme episodes stuffed with humour, word play, cheesy dance moves, a sprinkle of song and a drizzle of darkness.
Nominated for Freshest Show and Fresh Creative (Directing) at this year's Cape Town Fringe and in town for 4 shows only!
Written by Sue Pam-Grant and Sheena Stannard

A brilliant performance
Phenomenal
Wish it was on for longer! Have some friends who would love to see it. Is it coming back? Such a fun mix of comedy styles with such directed content. The messages, both overt and subtle, left me thinking about a lot.
Really enjoyed it. Was funny, entertaining and fresh.
We really enjoyed the show, it was funny and refreshing but very relateable as a young woman.
Cool show
Strong, inspiring, powerful
What an incredible production! Thought provoking and such diversity and flexibility exhibited by the actresses.
A very thought-provoking play with a strong message! A must-see! Brilliant performance! Great direction!
We thought the two girls pulled it off beautifully. Great timing, tempo, wit & energy. Light enough, but also dark enough to give it gravitas. Thoroughly enjoyed the show!
Absolutely loved it and the message really hit home (extremely powerful). I only wish that it could be done on a bigger scale.
Well done they were excellent
Exceptional show. Funny, with insight into very real issues for women. Thank you so much for a dleightful evening.
Loved it! Would be nice if it could've started on time. My friend had made plans for 17h30 and we were stressing about being late for that.
FANTASTIC play! Brilliant performance! A powerful message!

Good actors, but found it a bit 'cringe-worthy', and not quite measuring up to what was advertised.
