Ahead of the shows' tour to Perth Fringe World (Aus), catch a very short run of it at POPArt this Feb!

From the creators of The Epicene Butcher and Other Stories For Consenting Adults, comes a show with fewer words in its title, but more puppetry.

A lurid, but loving celebration of rank amateurism and the remote outer reaches of show business, where “the show must go on” regardless of whether it should. Featuring 12  'astonishing' acts in less than an hour, Amateur Hour! is theatre for the Youtube Generation.

"Both actors were so committed to putting on the best worst performance of their lives that they could have made the Giants looks bad while keeping the audiences in stitches" - Western Australian News

"If enjoyed as nothing more than a collection of comedy sketches by a pair of very talented performers, Amateur Hour! provides value for money and fuel for a number of belly laughs – an all-too-rare commodity nowadays" - Bruce Denhill, The Citizen

Audience Responses

Quality comedy, uncomfy awkward and sad at times. Passionate performance, all in a 1-hour nugget x

It was a lazy show. There were so many lovely ideas but none of them were developed. The first monologue was the best as it gave some insight into the human being standing up there. I loved the gallows humour that ran throughout and the touches of humanity that came through from these tragic characters but I wanted more of who they were, why they were there. We saw hints of this in the two folk singers arguing on stage and the performer talking to his mom on the phone but these were never developed. It felt like the start of something that could be excellent but each scene needs work.
